About Us

VSPN is a confidential, non-judgmental community based service, which assists victims by providing immediate emotional and practical support when they have suffered the effects of crime, tragic circumstance and/or disaster.

VSPN Objectives

  • To lessen the trauma of victimization
  • To assist the victim cope with the impact of crime and or tragedy
  • To encourage victims to connect with appropriate services
  • To provide advocacy and avoid re-victimization
  • To recognize and support primary, secondary and tertiary victims
  • To allow police or other emergency personnel to clear the scene and respond to other calls for services

Referrals

Referrals can be made by emergency personnel, service providers or by self-referral and include, but are not limited to:

  • Homicide
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Sexual Assault
  • Assault
  • Human Trafficking
  • Elder Abuse
  • Robbery/Property Crimes
  • Suicide (Attempts/Death)
  • Sudden Death
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Personal Issues/Family Crisis
  • Multi-Casualty/Community Disaster
  • Group Crisis Intervention
